Cepheus Growth Fund has almost raised $100m with the help of Soros
The Soros Economic Development Fund (SEDF), an investment fund created by Hungarian-born US billionaire George Soros, has committed $10m to the Ethiopian Cepheus Growth Fund, which invests in Africa in the agriculture, services and manufacturing sectors.

SEDF currently has $157m in assets under management worldwide, with a cost of entry ranging from €1m to €20m. In Africa, the fund is involved in seven projects totalling $21m. SEDF did not specify the nature of the projects.
