Already well established in central Africa, particularly in infrastructure at Owendo port, private equity firm Meridiam, under its French CEO and founder Thierry Déau, signed a memorandum of understanding on 24 October in Libreville, according to our sources, for the construction of a 100-km section of the Transgabonaise highway (780 km in total). The cost of this project is estimated at €100m ($110m) and will involve the setting up of a special purpose operating company held 50% by Meridiam and 50% by Gabon Special Economic Zone (GSEZ), Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned.
