Healthcare: IFC and IFHA launch a $115m investment platform

The Hospital Holdings Investment (HHI) company was set up by the Dutch firm Investment Funds for Health in Africa (IFHA). With its $22m contribution, International Finance Corporation is making one of the largest investments in the African healthcare sector, outside South Africa. In addition to providing funding, IFC served as lead arranger with other backers – Swedfund, Proparco, Finnfund and IFU – for a total of $43.2m.
