ICTSI (Groupe Ledya/SCTP) and DP World struggling to relaunch Congo’s ports

Holder since June 2016 of the concession at Matadi, the main seaport of the DRC, Philippine company International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI) – one of the 10 largest container terminal operators in the world – still wants to push ahead with the second phase of its 52% owned subsidiary Matadi Gateway Terminal.

This company is jointly owned with Congolese partners, the private conglomerate Groupe Ledya (38%) held by local businessman Jean Lengo-di-Ndinga and the state-owned Société congolaise des transports et des ports (SCTP) which holds 10%.
