Total is hungry for liquefied natural gas in Africa. Alongside its Mozambique LNG mega-project, the group has just formally approved with its partners the expansion of Nigeria LNG‘s capacities for an estimated amount of at least $10bn. The French group has not yet publicly disclosed the decision, unlike its Italian partner ENI, but “Total has indeed approved the expansion,” according to a source close to the group.
