The former head of Banque d’Abidjan, the Ivorian subsidiary of the Banque de Dakar Group (Groupe-BDK), took over the reins of BDK on 2 January, ending Safiétou Niang Sarr’s seven-month tenure as the bank’s acting chief executive.

Detailing his vision to Jeune Afrique Business+, Malèye Faye explained that he considers 2020 as the year of “true maturity” for the Banque de Dakar Group (BDK), which has been in business since 2015.
