Spain’s Técnicas Reunidas ousts Chinese, Italians and Koreans for a new Sonatrach refinery

After a gas project completed in early 2019, the Madrid-based company in partnership with Samsung Engineering will build the new Hassi Messaoud refinery at a cost of $3.67bn.

Técnicas Reunidas is stepping up its business with Sonatrach in Algeria. Led by Juan Lladó Arburua, the Spanish engineering firm has just landed a major deal in association with Samsung Engineering.
