With more than a billion total visits in 2019, it is one of the most visited websites on the continent, and is now determined to be a force for good in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Jumia, the e-commerce service set up in Germany in 2012 with a presence in eight African markets (Algeria, Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa and Uganda), is bringing its logistics expertise and marketplace, supported by its Jumia Pay payment method, to the ministries of health of seven countries on the continent so they can best distribute health and basic necessities.
