Under consideration for several weeks now, the planned 100 billion CFA franc (€152.7m) bond issue on the WAEMU financial market has just been approved by Sonatel’s board of directors.

The draft ninth resolution received a preliminary blessing during the general meeting held on 4 May in Abidjan. While details about the bond issue are not yet known (maturity, rate, subscription period, etc.), the bonds that will be issued this year will not be exchangeable or convertible into shares, Jeune Afrique Business+ has learned.
