The Ethics Committee of the African Development Bank referred to the allegations against Akinwumi Adesina as “baseless, unsubstantiated, [and] unproven”. After several months of infighting at the pan-African institution, the Nigerian has been cleared of all charges of favouritism and poor governance a positive outcome for the leader who enlisted Eli Whitney Debevoise II, for short known as Whitney Debevoise, to represent him. The lawyer has an established reputation in international financial transactions and trade, as well as in international arbitration.
