Bamako airport franchise: lone candidate Egis has rehashed its 2011 bid

The French group’s subsidiary, SEGAP, was invited at the end of 2019 by the Malian government to resubmit its 2011 application, when it went up against Canadian company SNC Lavalin. However, several voices are calling for a new tendering process.

Already responsible for the running of Abidjan airport and three airports in Congo (Brazzaville, Pointe-Noire, Ollombo), the French Egis Airport Operations, via its African subsidiary SEGAP, submitted an “updated” bid at the end of 2019 with plans to take over the 30-year concession for Bamako airport, a group manager told Jeune Afrique Business+.
