On 20 April, Dan Githua, CEO of Tusker Mattresses Ltd, the holding company which operates Tuskys supermarkets, told the Association of Kenya Suppliers that Tuskys would have to defer payments to its suppliers. The chain also pushed back its lease payments. The company has 6,000 employees and 800 suppliers.
