Togo Terminal-Bolloré v. Republic of Togo (€500m): ICSID dispute hearing scheduled for October

On 20 April 2018, Togo Terminal, a Bolloré group subsidiary, filed a request for arbitration with the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) regarding Togo’s failure to comply, according to the group, with its right of first refusal.

This right of first refusal over any new project near the premises of Togo Terminal’s facilities within the Autonomous Port of Lomé (PAL) was granted by the Togolese authorities in connection with the signing of amendment no. 2 to the Bolloré subsidiary’s concession agreement dated 24 May 2010.
