The leisure complex, which principally comprises a 300-seat cinema and an outdoor stage, is located on the Rebero Hill, around 5 km south of the Rwandan capital’s centre. This is the second site to be opened by Canal Olympia, a subsidiary of French group Vivendi, in an anglophone country following last month’s cinema launch in Abuja, Nigeria, as well as being the first in the Great Lakes region. The cost of the construction is estimated at around €500,000 and includes, in addition to buildings, their electricity supply, to be provided by solar panels.
