According to our sources, the two agencies received the green light from the West African Monetary Union’s Public Savings and Financial Markets Regional Board (CREPMF) to finalise GCR Ratings’ purchase of a 65% stake in the West Africa Rating Agency (WARA), the famous rating agency launched in 2012 by Seydina Tandian and Anouar Hassoune, former Vice President at Moody’s Investors Service.
