The private sector investor wing of the World Bank initialled a check for $ 101.75 million for Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB). The Belgian BIO joined it with $22 million, plus two specialised investors. One is $15 million from the SANAD fund, initiated by the German KFW and supported by the Austrian EPOB and the Dutch FMO. The other is from Swiss microfinance specialist Symbiotics for $11.25 million.
