Last June, the Minister of Water, Rural Equipment and Village Hydraulics Antoine Lekpa Gbegbeni, announced a program aimed at modernising and extending the water supply networks in the capital and in several towns across the country. For this, the Water and Sanitation Heritage Company in Urban and Semi-Urban Areas (SP-EAU), the public entity headed by Koumayi Bassouto, received more than €40 million in funding from the French Development Agency.
