Air France vs Air Madagascar: Court of Appeal asks the parties to reach an agreement
A new twist in the Air France vs Air Madagascar case. According to a ruling by the Paris Court of Appeal at the beginning of May, which Jeune Afrique Business+ has read, the two airlines are invited to agree “within the framework of a mediation” by the end of June 2021.

The conflict between the two carriers dates back to 2018, following the purchase by Air Madagascar in June 2012 of two Airbus A340 aircraft from Air France-KLM. The two companies have been fighting for three years over the amount claimed by the French flag for this transaction. At the heart of the dispute is the ownership of the aircraft and the conditions of their lease-purchase.
